Laal Singh Chaddha’s last schedule started earlier this month in Ladakh with Aamir Khan and Naga Chaitanya shooting the battle sequences in the picturesque valley. The film, an official Hindi remake of Tom Hanks’ Forrest Gump also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan who wrapped up her scenes in the film last year before going on a short maternity leave.
Speaking of his stay in Ladakh, Aamir addressed the local media and said, “Experience was very good…we were comfortable. There are good hotels here. Kiran will tell you more because she is handling the production directly.”
To this, Kiran Rao added, “Yes, in fact the infrastructure at Kargil is quite advanced. We could accommodate our entire crew and everyone was comfortable. Transport, hotels are of good quality and we didn’t really face any issues. The roads here are actually quite good.”
Aamir further spoke of how he and Naga Chaitanya would love their long drives from the hotel to the location, “We used to take an hour to reach the shoot location and used to go by car. Our south star Chay and I used to travel together. So those two hours we truly enjoyed the beautiful scenery. It’s a very unique place.”
In conclusion, Aamir added that he’s learnt a lot from this schedule of the film and feels like his job as an actor makes him an eternal student of the art.
