Sources reveal, “Key piece of evidence in Raj Kundra arrest are WhatsApp chats between Kundra and his partners with relation to porn content.”
The chats reportedly have Kundra and his partners discussing revenue gains and profit-sharing from the content sold on the mobile application. According to the chats, a partner was quoted saying, “We are releasing only one movie a week so yes, the sales pick up…”
These chats apparently date back to October 10.
The cops sprung into action based on a case registered in February 2021, Mumbai Police Commissioner Hemant Nagrale said in a late-night statement. Thereafter, Kundra, a British-Indian businessman, was being investigated by the Crime Branch-CID of Mumbai Police.
“A case was registered with the Crime Branch about the creation of pornographic films and publishing them through some apps. We’ve arrested Raj Kundra in this case as he appears to be the key conspirator,” said Nagrale.
“We have sufficient evidence regarding this. Further investigation is in progress,” he added.
According to the latest reports, the businessman appeared before the Property Cell of Mumbai Police’s Crime Branch on Tuesday and was also taken for medical examination at JJ hospital by the Property Cell of Mumbai Police’s Crime Branch in the early hours of Tuesday. He was later taken to Mumbai Police Commissioner’s office and is scheduled to be produced before the court.
